Saturday, December 19, marks another anniversary the Marco 5-Mile Hill Run, the area’s toughest route — and perhaps one of the most exhilarating.
According to Mark McGarity, it’s extremely challenging.
“There’s 17 hills in the race, and it’s the toughest race in Southwest Florida as far as I’m concerned,” McGarity told the Marco Eagle.
With beautiful scenery at every turn — the course winds through the Estate Area, where you’ll see native wildlife and spectacular homes — this year’s run promises to be a spectacular hit. Between 200 and 300 attendees will be there, according to McGarity.
