If you’re visiting Marco Island, you’ll need to know about the best public beaches and what they have to offer.
If you’re like most people who visit, you’ll start dreaming about becoming a full-time resident of this idyllic island paradise.
You can check out Marco Island real estate listings here, but in the meantime, here’s what you need to know about the pristine beaches we have to offer.
The Public Beaches of Marco Island
Tigertail Beach & Sand Dollar Island
Hernando Drive on Marco Island
Tigertail is arguably the most popular beach on Marco Island. Accessible to the public, this beach offers everything. The amenities here include ample parking, boardwalks along the Gulf, restrooms, playgrounds, a café, a butterfly garden and beach rentals.
While you’re enjoying Tigertail Beach, check out Sand Dollar Island. This is a remote beach that can be accessed from Tigertail Beach. Be prepared to walk quite a distance to enjoy the beaches of Sand Dollar Island; you’ll be glad you did.
South Marco Beach
South Collier Boulevard on Marco Island
If you’re looking for a less-crowded beach with nothing but a peaceful stretch of sand, gentle water and breathtaking views, South Marco Beach is the place for you. Unlike Marco Island’s other beaches, the only amenity this beach offers is restroom access.
North Collier Boulevard on Marco Island
Marco Island has a special beach just for property owners and those who rent here for a month or more. You can relax here with your neighbors and have exclusive dining privileges at the Paradise Grill. Family-friendly concerts are often held on the beach, as well. (Residents who have lived on Marco Island for at least one month can complete an application to receive a pass from the Marco Island Civic Association.)
