There’s always something going on when you live on amazing Marco Island. February is no different – and with plenty of great events and things to do right here at home, you can get all the entertainment you need without leaving the island.
February 3, 2016: Cultural Carnivale
The Cultural Carnivale, an annual event on Marco Island, celebrates the rich blend of history and culture and our idyllic paradise.
Between 6 and 8 p.m., You can join the fun at the Marco Island Historical Museum. The museum is located at 180 South Heathwood Drive on Marco Island, and you can call them for more information at 239-642-1440.
Delectable cuisine will be provided by CJ’s on the Bay, and JRoberts will provide the entertainment. The event includes wine, games and raffles. It’s free to attend, so bring your family and have a great time.
The Marco Island Farmers’ Market
The Marco Island Farmers’ Market is still going strong, and it opens at 7:30 a.m. just like always.
Craft Shows
This month is a great month for crafters on Marco Island. We have a great schedule of craft shows:
- Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church on February 4 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church on February 5 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Marco Center for the Arts on February 6 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
“Souper” Bowl Sunday
Head to Mackle Park at 1361 Andalusia Terrace on February 6 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a “Souper Bowl Marco,” held by the Leadership of Marco. It promises to be a great time as residents join together to raise funds for college scholarships!
Art Festivals
The Left Bank Art Fest takes place at the Esplanade. It’s held by the Marco Island Foundation for the Arts, and it takes place on Valentine’s Day (bring a date!) between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Winter Concerts
Winter concerts on Marco Island are always a great time. Admission is free to the event, which takes place at Mackle Park, and you’ll be amazed at the fabulous talent from the Mr. and Mrs. Trio with Michael Nardi. The concerts start at 2 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. on February 7, 14, 21 and 28.
Beach Cleanup
Join your fellow Marco Island residents for a good, old-fashioned beach cleanup sponsored by Truly Nolen. Cleanup starts at the South Beach Boardwalk at 8 a.m. sharp.
Family Fun
Bring the kids and their friends to TBE Family Fun Fitness Day at Tommie Barfield Elementary on February 20. This ultra-fun event starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. Wear your athletic shoes!
Movies in the Park
Your whole family will enjoy this month’s movie in the park. They’re showing Big Hero 6 at Mackle Park on February 26. Be there early to get your seat; the event starts at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 9:30 p.m.
